چکیده
Patients with high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) gradually acquire resistance to standard chemotherapy after recurrence. In our previous study of HGSOC, histone deacetylase (HDAC)6 upregulation led poor prognosis, and programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-L1) expressions positively correlated HDAC6 expression. We analyzed the expression PD-L1 pre- post-chemotherapy investigate their association resistance. were immunohistochemically using clinical samples obtained before (combination platinum taxane agents) from 54 patients HGSOC. The clinicopathological characteristics, including surgical status, RECIST response score, reviewed. High (≥ 5%) was detected in 5 8 cases post-chemotherapy, respectively. mean positive rate 3.88%, which significantly higher than 0.68% (p=0.045). high frequency increased 4 pre-chemotherapy 13 (p=0.019). score 3, signifying chemosensitivity. progression-free (p=0.037) overall survival (p=0.049), group complete resection. residual tumors had enhanced PD-L1, are associated tumor immunity, proliferation, hypoxic responses. also patient prognosis. These results suggest that may serve as therapeutic targets prognostic factors for

Elastography, a sensitive tool for the evaluation of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma
The aim of the present study was to evaluate tumor stiffness by ultrasound elastography, which has the potential to provide additional information that is useful in predicting the response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) in high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSC) patients. In total, 32 patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage III and IV epithelial ovarian ...
متن کاملNeoadjuvant Chemotherapy Modulates the Immune Microenvironment in Metastases of Tubo-Ovarian High-Grade Serous Carcinoma.
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) on immune activation in stage IIIC/IV tubo-ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC), and its relationship to treatment response. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN We obtained pre- and posttreatment omental biopsies and blood samples from a total of 54 patients undergoing platinum-based NACT and 6 patients underg...
متن کاملPrognostic Values of Estrogen and Progesterone Expression Receptors in Ovarian Papillary Serous Carcinoma
Background and Objectives: Presence of steroid hormone receptors (estrogen and progesterone) in the tumor tissues of various organs correlates with response to therapy and prognosis. Since their role in ovarian cancer is still controversial, in this study we investigated the expression and prognostic value of the estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) in ovarian papillary ser...
متن کاملHigh PTPN13 expression in high grade serous ovarian carcinoma is associated with a better patient outcome
Background Chromosome 4q loss of heterozygosity (LOH) is frequently observed in high-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC). However, this LOH has not been clearly associated with the inactivation of any tumor suppressor gene(s). As the tumor suppressor gene PTPN13 is located on chromosome 4q21, we investigated its expression in HGSOC. Methods PTPN13 protein expression was investigated by imm...
متن کاملIdentification of Prognostic Groups in High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Treated with Platinum-Taxane Chemotherapy.
Disseminated high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGS-OvCa) is an aggressive disease treated with platinum and taxane combination therapy. While initial response can be favorable, the disease typically relapses and becomes resistant to treatment. As genomic alterations in HGS-OvCa are heterogeneous, identification of clinically meaningful molecular markers for outcome prediction is challenging. We...
